Who we are

King River Brewing filled fermenters and flung open our taproom doors back in 2016. Founded by us, Nathan and Brianna Munt, our passion for euro inspired beers wasn’t all that got our dream to a reality. It was a shared passion for country, community and quality, all of which are key in our goals, actions and experiences here at King River Brewing.

  • Our onsite brewery, producing an award-winning range of beers now operates 5 days a week and is run by a small and passionate team of brewers.
  • Our taproom, located in King Valley, Victoria, showcases 12 beers on tap and an extensive range of seasonal beers to take away.
  • Our hand built woodfired ovens create unmatched ambience all whilst cooking our delicious pizza’s and seasonal dishes.             
  • Our venue boasts both indoor and undercover outdoor seating, a gorgeous shaded beer garden replete with yard games for the playful and firepit for the long cool alpine nights, as well as our large beer hall perfect for functions and events.

We offer friendly and thorough service in a relaxed and inviting setting to locals and visitors alike.

TAPROOM MANAGER

We are currently looking for someone who wants to become a part of our independent
family-owned brewery and serve up good times and fun vibes to our guests. We
need someone who knows how to create lasting experiences, enjoys good banter
and building relationships, all whilst keeping quality on point across our
venue.

The Role

Seeking an experienced hospitality professional to take ownership of our Manager role and lead our
Taproom into greater success. You will work closely with Directors, overseeing
a small team. In this role you would be responsible for:

• Day-to-day venue management, including maintaining beer service quality and managing cellar
• Service compliance to liquor regulations
• POS/cash management, rostering, budget tracking and administration
• Guest management and functions, planning to execution
• Full management of existing events and scope to create new
• Inventory management and stock control front of house operations
• Maintain and develop systems to ensure quality repeatable processes
• Prepping venue for Ad-hoc promo/photo shoots
• Successfully lead a small, dynamic and hard-working team
• Ensuring quality customer experiences again and again
• Manage staff training
• Customer feedback to assist with development with Head Chef

You will bring ...

•• Sound experience in a similar role or demonstrated abilities to step up into this position
• A positive and passionate attitude to lift every customer experience
• Clear communication appropriate to your recipient
• Excellent self-motivation and a problem solver with creative solutions and ideas
• A passion for quality products (and a desire to learn if Beer is new to you)
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced food and beverage service environment
• An unparalleled eye for detail and the ability to uphold and elevate standards
• Ability to maintain a nurturing learning culture for our junior workforce
• Current Victorian RSA and Drivers Licence
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Working with Children Check (current or willing to get before you start)
• Intermediate computer and administrative skills
